Common FAQs

1. How much is the deposit?
It varies from $30-$120 based on the size of the unit. See the rate page.

2. Do you provide the key to the unit?
It’s your space - Your lock - Your key. Only you have access to your belongings. (Handicap units have a key that must be returned to us)

3. What do I need to rent a unit?
We will make a copy of your driver’s license or picture ID. We require that you give names, address', and phone numbers of at least 2 other contacts who do not live with you. If you are storing a motor vehicle we require a copy of the title in your name and that it is titled in Wisconsin.

4. How long is the contract?
Our contract is month to month, with just a 1-month minimum rental period.

5. What about insurance?
Cudahy Self Storage does not offer insurance coverage. Therefore it’s best for you to talk to your insurance agent to make sure your property is insured when it is stored.

6. Can I pay over the phone?
Yes.
We accept Visa and Mastercard over the phone.

7. What about moving services?
This too is your choice. It’s always best for you to make your own decisions in these matters. We do not solicit business for any particular moving company.

8. My company wants to rent storage and we need to receive regular package deliveries. Is this allowed?

We cannot accept deliveries for you. Remember, only you have access to your unit.

9. What type of payment do you accept?
Cash, check, credit card, money order.
